Inspired by the poetry they love an artist from Ireland and another from Wales have collaborated in a show which explores how to make verses into art. The exhibition by figurative Welsh painter Dan Llywelyn Hall and Cambridge based Irish illustrator Rory Hutton is at the gallery at 57 Shepherd’s Market, Mayfair in London from August 31 to September 6. It will include paintings, prints and drawings inspired by the work of W B Yeats, John Keats, Seamus Heaney, Dante Gabriel Rossetti and Edmund Spenser along with more contemporary poetry by John Clare, Sue Hubbard, Hugo Williams and Frieda Hughes. The exhibition will be accompanied by a workshop next Monday, a Bank Holiday in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and a poetry evening on Thursday.
