This appetising whiskey collection ranging from 2016-2024 comes up as lot 1 at Dolan’s. current timed online auction. The sale of Irish paintings and rare Irish whiskies is now live and continues until the evening of April 29. All ten bottles pictured here are accompanied by their certificates and the lot is estimated at €7,000-€9,000. Almost 100 bottles in total will come under the hammer along with art by Letitia Hamilton, Flora Mitchell, Mildred Anne Butler, James le Jeune, Charles Harper, Susan Cronin, Arthur Armstrong, Peter Curling and many other Irish artists.
Irish art and rare Irish whiskeys form the nucleus of Dolan’s timed online Spring auction which runs until next March 20 at 6.30 p.m. Among the many artists featured are Patrick Hennessy, Mark O’Neill, John Behan, Arthur Maderson, Charles Harper, John Brobbel, Martin Mooney, Ernest Hayes, Ciaran Clear and and Roger Dellar.
The sale opens with a collection of 12 Midleton Very Rare Irish whiskeys from 2012 to 2022. The estimate is €10,000-€12,000. Dolan’s reports internet bidders from Cork to Sydney for this particular lot. There is a unique bronze by John Behan titled Kyrenia Ship based on a 15 metre long Greek Cypriot ship from around 389 BC which sank around 288 BC three miles off the coast of Kyrenia. Dolan’s is also featuring artwork by Susan Cronin and other artists including Henry Morgan, John Morris, Norman Teeling, Mat Grogan, Douglas Hutton, Robert Ballagh, Roy Lyndsay, Robert Egginton, Olive Bodeker, Michael Morris and Henry Healy.

It is in good condition, unframed with a single fold mark. The sale offers work by 20th century and contemporary artists including Charles Lamb, Mark O’Neill, Flora Mitchell, Arthur Maderson, Markey Robinson (Bronze), Charles Harper, Cecil Maguire, Martin Mooney, Frank Egginton, Arthur Armstrong, Muriel Brandt, Ernest Hayes, Arthur Twells and Modern British artists Helen Tabor and Roger Dellar. There is a selection of Very Rare Midleton Whiskeys which Dolan’s say are prized by collectors across the world, from Ireland to Sydney.
The selection includes antique furniture, rugs, books, silver and collectibles with 344 lots in total. There is art by Susan Cronin, Henry Morgan, John Morris, Norman Teeling, John C Brobbel, Rose Stapleton, Roy Lyndsay, Robert Egginton, Olive Bodeker, Michael Morris, Thelma Mansfield, Mat Grogan, Douglas Hutton and Manus Walsh.
