Hibernian Antique Fairs, hard hit by the pandemic, held a number of virtual fairs over the past couple of years. This weekend they are doing something new. The contents of Bride Park Cottage, Kilumney, Co. Cork are on offer online priced and ready to sell. There will not be fees on purchases. Excitement is building about the first post lockdown antique fair which takes place over three days at the South Court Hotel in Limerick from Friday, October 22, the hoped for day when restrictions are due to come to an end. Dealers from right around the island of Ireland who have been unable to display their wares during lockdown have scrambled to get in.New to this fair will be a range of antique furniture and jewellery including French furniture from Co. Tipperary based Nevil Dukes, Raven stamps of Cork and Persian and Turkish rugs from Annamoe Antiques, Co. Wicklow. An array of antique furniture, Irish art, silver, coins, vintage items, militaria, porcelain and collectibles will be on display. The last physical as distinct from virtual fair organised by Hibernian Antique Fairs was in Co. Roscommon on February 29 and March 1, 2020 and the hope is that this fair will release much pent up demand.

This is the fifth virtual fair organised by Hibernian Antique Fairs. The last on the ground event they organised took place on February 29/March 1 at Kilronan Castle in Co. Roscommon.
FROM jewellery to artwork there promises to be a diverse selection on offer at the virtual art fair which Hibernian Antique Fairs will run on January 16-17. A link to access the fair will be made available on the Hibernian Antiques Fairs facebook page on January 16. Dealers taking part will show photographs of what is on offer plus contact and delivery details. Among those taking part are Treasures Irish Art of Athlone. They will show a number of works by the self taught London born Irish painter Ken Moroney (1949-2018). He specialised in Impressionist painting and romantic Edwardian style subjects.

Virtual antique fair number 3, a Christmas gift fair organised by Hibernian Antique Fairs, is now up and running and will continue today and tomorrow. More than 50 dealers, including nine members of the Irish Antique Dealers Association, are offering a range of objects from Irish art to antique furniture and collectibles for sale based on online photographs.
