    NEARLY 1,600 LOTS TO BE SOLD AT SHEPPARDS IN DURROW

    Nearly 1,600 lots are to come under the hammer at three days of sales at Sheppards, Durrow, Co. Laois on October 20, 21 and 22.  There is furniture, paintings, a huge choice of collectible and decorative items with Asian art to be sold on October 22.  A pair of satinwood and painted commodes, decorative Sevres urns, an ormolu mounted Chinese Imari garniture and a c1720 herringbone inlaid walnut chest on chest are among the delights on offer.  The catalogue is online.     A TWO DAY SALE AT SHEPPARDS IN DURROW

    The two day sale at Sheppards in Durrow, Co. Laois on Tuesday, June 30 and Wednesday July 1 offers much of interest to collectors.  The auction includes contents from Glenmalire House, Laois.  The catalogue cover lot is a pair of Regency faux bamboo elbow chairs in the Brighton Pavilion manner, estimated at 1,500-2,500.  There are mirrors, artwork, antique furniture including Irish 18th century pieces, Oriental porcelain and furniture, silver and jewellery among more than 1,200 lots.
