A rare set of 12 Irish George II mahogany chairs is among many feature items at the John Carroll Antiques stand at the Olympia International Art and Antiques Fair which continues in London until June 28. It is highly unusual to find twelve chairs from the same set and this one is priced at £75,000. Mr. Carroll, who is maintaining an important Irish presence at this prestigious international fair with some fine antique furniture, is offering other noteworthy items such as an Irish 18th century carved gilt wood pier glass. The top has opposing squirrels above a central mask of Diana. There is a George II breakfront library bookcase and a marvellous George IV circular extending dining table. Here is a small sample:
