A claret jug in the form of an eagle is the opening lot at Mealy’s mid summer sale in Castlecomer, Co. Kilkenny on July 15. It is estimated at 700-1,100 in a sale of more than 600 lots of fine and decorative art. Lot 34 is The Georgian Society records volumes 1, 2 and 3 printed in Dublin in 1911 and estimated at 1,000-1,500.
