VIEWING is now underway in Castlecomer for Mealy’s three day sale on October 21, 22 and 23. The catalogue cover lot is a fine portrait of Edward Hodson attributed to Godfrey Kneller (1646-1723). Estimated at 5,000-7,000 it depicts the young man clad in a blue satin jacket with cape and a long wig. Here are some samples from the sale.
