    The subject of Etude de Femme by Roderic O’Conor at the James Adam sale of Important Irish Art in Dublin on October 1 is believed to be Renee Honta initially his model and mistress, then his constant companion and, in 1933, his wife.  O’Conor included the work in a group of nine paintings he exhibited at the Salon d’Automne in 1919.  Adams have estimated it at 60,000-80,000.  It is one of 216 works on the catalogue, which is online.
