Around 300 lots including Chinese and Japanese porcelain, ivory and objets d’art will be sold at Hegarty’s in Bandon on Sunday September 4 at 4 p.m. The sale features part two of the collection of the late
Georgette Ellison, whose husband was a high ranking US military member stationed overseas post World War II. The main lot at part one of the sale last July 24 was a Japanese smoker’s companion set presented to Mrs. Ellison by the late Emperor Hirohito. It was bought on the internet by a collector from Hong Kong for 3,800.
The sale features Victorian and Georgian furniture, English and Irish silver, an Irish Georgian plate bucket and a Cork longcase clock.
