A Self-portrait with hand to her forehead by Käthe Kollwitz will feature at the Whitley Art Gallery stand at the annual Irish Antique Dealers Fair at the RDS in Dublin from September 25-28. Signed in pencil the original etching in black ink is thought to have been printed by Richter or Von Becke c.1925/1930 before the 1931 Von Becke edition. The work of Käthe Kollwitz (1867-1945) focused on poverty, hunger, war and the human condition. There is a museum dedicated to her work in Charlottenberg, Berlin. The Self-portrait with hand to her forehead is priced at 5,250.
The Irish Antique Dealers Association (IADA) annual fair will take place in the Main Hall at the RDS.
