These images illustrate the range and diversity of objects on show at the 49th Irish Antique Dealers Fair at the RDS in Dublin. The fair previews this evening and will run until Sunday, September 28. The annual lecture series at the fair kicks off at noon on September 26 when Antoinette Murphy will deliver a talk on Gardens in Art. This will be followed at 2 p.m. with a talk on the art of lacquer by Roxane Moorhead. On September 27 Zara Power will talk on the history of the pearl at 12 noon and Sarah Donaldson will deliver a lecture on vintage fashion at 2 p.m. On September 28 Fiona Ahern will deliver a lecture on the life and work of the 18th century Cork silversmith Jane Williams at noon. At 2 p.m. Dr. Angela Griffith will talk about key figures in Irish painting.
