An early Irish Georgian section dining table comes up at the Lynes and Lynes auction in Carrigtwohill, Co. Cork on July 26. It dates to around 1740-60 and is estimated at 2,000-2,500. A pair of c1830 Irish side cabinets with marble tops carry an estimate of 4,000-6,000. There is an Irish four poster bed by Williams and Gibton c1820 (1,500-2,000) and a seven foot long Irish hunt table (3,500-4,500). Collectibles include a signed copy of The Music of Freedom by patriot, author and playwright Terence MacSwiney – who died on hunger strike in Brixton Prison in 1920 while Lord Mayor of Cork.
