  • MARKET FOR VINTAGE POSTERS GROWS

    The market for vintage posters continues to grow and collectors will find plenty of opportunites at Christie’s  annual Ski Sale in London on January 22. Celebrating the golden age of travel, from the turn of the 20th century to the 1950’s the auction will comprise more than 200 lots of vintage posters and Louis Vuitton luggage.  Some of the finest artists and designers worked on the stylish advertisements as the first resorts competed to be recognised as the most glamourous. The 16th annual Ski Sale offers an opportunity to acquire Louis Vuitton trunks and suitcases in monogram, striped and checkerboard styles.  Here are some appetising posters:
