  • IRISH GLASS BY DESCENT FROM PENROSE FAMILY AT EXETER AUCTION

    No less than 15 lots of antique Irish glass by direct descent from the Penrose family, founders of  the Waterford Glass House in 1783, come up at Bearnes Hampton and Littlewood in Exeter on January 22.  Estimates range from £50 to £600 for a collection that includes drinking glasses, decanters, dshes, scent bottles, jugs and jars.  Wednesday will be the second day of the Winter Fine Arts Auction at Bearnes Hampton and Littlewood, the first to be held in the newly extended south west of England saleroom complex in Exeter.   Here is a small selection.
