THE National Antique and Art Fair at the South Court Hotel in Limerick this weekend on both March 9 and 10 promises to be a big draw. There is antique furniture, art old and new, jewellery, silver, porcelain and collectibles, coins, banknotes, books, clocks, watches and vintage items. The fair has grown steadily in each of the 23 years since it was first established. More than 100 dealers, including 15 members of the Irish Antique Dealers Association, will be in attendance.
This year organiser Robin O’Donnell of Hibernian Antique Fairs promises that: “You cannot fail to pick up a bargain, no matter what your interest may be”. Prices, particularly in this financial climate, tend to be negotiable. Opening times are from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
