An oval satinwood inlaid writing desk probably by Butler’s of Dublin, an inlaid Killarney work box stamped 1855 and a French kingwood and marquetry bureau plat feature at Marshs auction in Cork city centre on November 5. They are estimated respectively at 2,500-3,000, 4,000-5,000 and 2,000-2,500. The sale, which is strong in antique furniture, includes a pair of French gilt armchairs (2,500-3,000), a William IV teapoy (750-1,000), a Georgian inlaid satinwood corner cupboard (1,000-1,500) and a Regency walnut games/work table (1,500-2,000).
