Headed by a William Scott Blue Still Life estimated at 400,000-600,000 Whyte’s sale at the RDS on May 29 will attract both Irish and international interest. Other prime lots include a Louis le Brocquy tapestry of Adam and Eve created in 1951 (80,000-100,000) and a rare wood carving by F.E. McWilliam entitled Man and Wife (70,000-90,000). An iconic 1960’s image of Twiggy in front of a painting by Bridget Riley by American photographer Bert Stern is estimated at 5,000-7,000 and a 1938 landscape by Paul Henry is estimated at 100,000-150,000.
