    The art and antiques sale by Dolan’s in Rosslare on May 1 kicks off with a limited edition colour print by Robert Ballagh entitled My Studio 1969.  One of an edition of 75 it is estimated at 500 to 800.  Kelly’s Hotel in Rosslare is the venue for this auction of more than 300 lots.  The emphasis is on art, but there sale features a selection of reasonably estimated rugs, small antique furniture pieces, silver and collectible objects.  The catalogue is online.     DOLAN’S ART AND ANTIQUES AUCTION IN LIMERICK

    The first five lots at Dolan’s Limerick art and antiques auction on November 22 are 19th century Irish topographical photographs from the Lawrence Collection. Featuring counties Kerry, Down, Monaghan and various locations from Bray Head to the Corkscrew Road at Lisdoonvarna each volume is estimated at 350-450.  There is work by a diverse range of artists from Kenneth Webb and Arthur Maderson to Mark O’Neill and Markey Robinson as well as some silver, furniture, comics and boxing memorabilia.   The sale of 197 lots takes place  at Castletroy Park Hotel.  The catalogue is online.     DILLON’S SPANISH FISHING VILLAGE AT CORK ART SALE

    A total of 289 lots of mostly Irish art will be offered at the Morgan O’Driscoll fine art sale at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Cork on May 9.  Internationally celebrated  artists Damien Hirst and Andy Warhol are represented by limited edition prints.  The most expensively estimated lot on offer is Gerard Dillon’s Spanish fishing village which is estimated at 20,000-25,000.
    There are prime works by Markey Robinson, William Conor, Maurice Wilks, William Crozier, Colin Watson, Mark O’Neill, Dan O”Neill, James Humbert Craig and Sean McSweeney.
    Here is a small selection.  The entire catalogue is on-line.
    UPDATE:  Around 68 per cent of lots were sold.  The top lot was was William Conor’s Music Session, a work with crayon which made 13,500.
