Jimi Hendrix, painted leather strap
A pale blue leather band decorated in emerald green and silver with stars and clouds and centred with a stylised woman’s face. Accompanied by a letter, dated November 7, 2013, from Bob Levin, Jimi Hendrix’s U.S. manager, stating that the strap was given to Jimi Hendrix by a fan and that he wore it “frequently around his thigh when he played”. The letter also certifies that the item belonged to Jimi Hendrix. Also a photograph of Jimi Hendrix with Bob Levine and Steven Angel taken in New York, 8 November, 1968.
