Swan chairs by Arne Jacobsen, a table by Sir Norman Foster, fauteuils by Georges de Bardyere and assorted designs by Starck all feature at de Veres auction of classic 20th century design and contemporary furniture and lighting. The sale of 350 lots at The Pavilion, Leopardstown Racecourse in Dublin takes place on April 13. Rory Guthrie of de Veres said: This is our biggest design auction to date. There has not been a sale quite like it in Ireland before”.
UPDATE: The auction was 75 per cent sold and brought in just over 200,000. The top lot was an Aubusson tapestry by Louis le Brocquy which made 40,000.
